Spring Term 2020
During the First half term the children will focus on two different places. We will focus on China and India, tasting foods from these countries, completing traditional art work and focusing on the special celebrations which take place. The children will be encouraged to compare these parts of the world to where they live searching for similarities and differences. Our key texts for this half term will be The magic paintbrush and Little Red.
When we return to school after the February break we will focus on the theme of Growing and changing. The children will have the opportunity to plant seeds, looking after them and watching them grow. The children will be asked to reflect on how they have changed as they have grown thinking of what they can do now that they couldn’t do when they were a baby. As we move closer to Easter the children will begin to think of the different seasons in the year and the signs of each season. The children will complete a range of Easter crafts to share with people at home. We will also reflect on how we can keep ourselves healthy. Our key texts for this half term are The Little seed and I will never ever eat a tomato.
This term the focus for our PE session are gymnastics and dance.
