The Prime Minister's statement on Sunday 10th May contained information regarding the possible phased re-opening of schools to key year groups - Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 from 1st June. Current guidance remains unchanged and school continues to remain open for children of key workers and those who are classed as vulnerable.
Schools have yet to receive guidance on how and when it will be safe to do this and once this is received we will begin planning for the safe return of groups of pupils. We will ensure that we keep parents updated and any plans will be shared with you.
Please see copy below of the letter to parents which has been sent out via ParentApp today.
In the meantime remember to stay safe
Personal hygiene is the most important way we can tackle COVID-19, especially washing hands more; and the catch it, bin it, kill it strategy for those with coughs and sneezes.
Wash your hands more often for 20 seconds with soap and hot water
In addition to handwashing before eating, and after coughing and sneezing, both children and staff should also wash hands after using toilets and travelling on public transport.
