It's hard to believe that we are half way through the school year already! I am very pleased to say all children have been making progress and we have enjoyed learning together.
This half term our topic is, "Entertainment and Leisure in the 20th Century." It will be a great opportunity to talk to the children about how entertainment has changed in your lifetime, whether this is films, TV, games or music. In school, we will be reading The Lion and The Unicorn by Shirley Hughes, a story set during World War II, and Cinderella on the Nile, a twist on a tale as old as time.
In science we will be covering the physics topic, forces. We look forward to joining the rest of the school in a science week when we can show off all our knowledge. In P.E, we have already had 6 weeks of gymnastics and we are pleased that we have another 6 weeks to take us to the end of the spring term. P.E is on a Wednesday so please make sure the children don't forget their kit!
We have so much to look forward to over the next term and I hope you can celebrate this and see how we have progressed together in the upcoming parents evening.
